Last English club to win in 2017 (Middlesbrough- 92/92)

Another unwanted record for under-pressure Sunderland bos David Moyes! His side lost 1-0 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside in midweek, with the latter thus becoming the last English team among the top four domestic leagues (20 Premier League teams and 24 each from the Championship, League One and League Two) to pick up a win this year.

Overdue for Boro, and secured for the club thanks to De Roon’s goal, but it looks like both the North-East clubs will be playing in the Championship next season (they’re 19th and 20th in the Premier League currently) while rivals Newcastle will return to the top flight.
