Feyenoord win Eredivisie after 18 years | Dirk Kuyt’s role in trophy win

Feyenoord won the Eredivisie after a gap of 18 years following a 3-1 win over Heracles Almelo at De Kuip, sparking massive celebrations in Rotterdam. There were fears that Feyenoord would bottle the title after a shock 3-0 loss to Excelsior that took the race to the final day, but veteran striker Dirk Kuyt took charge of things with a hat trick that saw Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side claim the title.

Funny stat- the season when Feyenoord last won the title was the season when Kuyt made his professional debut (aged 18)

Now, aged 36, he scored a hat-trick to help Feyenoord win the title, also completing 100 goals for the club in the process.

Last season in neighbouring Belgium, Club Brugge broke their 11 year trophy drought. Which club will break theirs in 2017/18?
